Rachel brings a sense of humor and wit, as well as management skills honed in the ad world of NYC, to her role at IHM. In fact, she left the hustle and bustle of “the big time” to have a chance to be more hands-on. “I wanted to be more involved in the bigger picture,” she says. Rachel’s skills at project management, event planning, photo and TV production, website development, and account service have been invaluable in executing multi-media communication plans for her clients.
Rachel began her career coordinating advertising artwork for Barneys New York. She then moved to the ad world, managing print and commercial projects for several top agencies and smaller international boutiques. Her work as an art buyer and producer on major consumer accounts, such as American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Macy’s, Bacardi, and AT&T, helped develop the expertise she now brings to IHM.
Rachel graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, with a BS in Marketing and a concentration in Advertising. She also attended New York’s exclusive Adhouse advertising school. She now lives in Goshen, CT, with her dog, Millie, and a mercurial cat named Ashley. It didn’t take her long to transition into “country living” as she quickly gained an appreciation for older country homes, canoeing and cute snow boots. Rachel happily embraced her new interests, but still enjoys “weekends at the spa” with her friends. She also visits NYC when she needs a change of scenery but she’s not about to trade her short drive to work in the country for a subway commute
